Wie viele Menschen auf diesem Planeten bin ich froh über den Jahreswechsel gewesen. Endlich ist das Jahr 2020 vorbei denken wir alle. Wir schlagen eine neue Seite auf, beginnen ein neues Jahr, erwarten uns mehr Glück als im letzten Jahr. Nach so viel Schlimmen kann es ja nur besser werden. Das ist der meistgesagte, der meistgedacht Satz. Global gedacht.
Denn diese Pandemie ist unser erstes gemeinschaftliches Erlebnis als globale Gesellschaft. Wir haben die ganze Welt im Blick, nicht nur einen Nationalstaat oder ein Dorf. Die Debatte darüber, wie wir mit der Katastrophe umgehen sollen, trennt uns. Das Erlebnis selbst aber verbindet uns. Vom Baby bis zur Großmutter, von Pol zu Pol, rund um den Erdkreis gibt es eine gemeinsame Erfahrung.
Was wir daraus machen, wird die Geschichte (der Sieger/Überlebenden/Mächtigen) uns erzählen. Werden wir human oder inhuman reagieren? Inhuman wäre: ich über alles, lassen wir die anderen Leute doch einfach sterben. Human wäre: ich akzeptiere persönliches Leid und nehme Einschränkungen in Kauf, um das große Ganze, vor allem aber die Alten, Schwachen und Kranken zu schützen.
La tercera ola: todo lo nuevo en el nuevo año

Como muchas personas en este planeta, estaba feliz por el cambio de año. El año 2020 finalmente ha terminado, todos lo pensamos. Pasamos página, comenzamos un nuevo año y esperamos más suerte que el año pasado. Después de tantas cosas malas, las cosas solo pueden mejorar. Esta es la frase más dicha, la más pensada. Pensado globalmente.
Porque esta pandemia es nuestra primera experiencia compartida como sociedad global. Tenemos todo el mundo a la vista, no solo un ación o un pueplo. El debate sobre cómo afrontar el desastre nos separa. Pero la experiencia misma nos conecta. De bebé a abuela, de polo a polo, en todo el mundo hay una experiencia común. La historia (de los vencedores / supervivientes / poderosos) nos dirá lo que hacemos con esto. ¿Reaccionaremos de una manera humana o inhumana?
Inhumano sería: yo por encima de todo, dejemos morir a las otras personas. Humano sería: acepto el sufrimiento personal y acepto restricciones para proteger el imagen en global, pero sobre todo a los ancianos, los débiles y los enfermos.
The 3rd wave - everything new in the new year
Like many people on this planet, I was happy about the end of the year. 2020 is finally over, we all think. We're turning a page, starting a new year, expecting more luck than we had last year. After so many bad stuff, things can only get better. This is the most said, the most thought sentence. Thought globally.
Because this pandemic is our first shared experience as a global society. We have the whole world in view, not just a nation or a village. The debate about how to deal with this disaster separates us. But the experience itself connects us. From baby to grandmother, from pole to pole, around the world it is a common experience.
What we make of it, will history (of the victors / survivors / people in power) tell us. Will we react in a humane or inhuman way? Inhuman would be: me above all, just let the other people die. Human would be: I accept personal suffering and restrictions in order to protect the big picture, but above all the old, the weak and the sick.
